Day 9 - June 18, 2009 - Fairbank to Anchorage

Gordon: Today was an uneventful day. The ride through Denali Natl Park was not as scenic as I thought it would be. A little rain again and temps have been around the high teens. We have gone about 5000 km total now and we have been riding about 600 km a day. We will spend a couple of days in Anchorage with Mikes Uncle......get the bikes service and do some sightseeing. Time is flying by; hard to believe we have been on the road for 9 days already.

Mike: Had breakfast at the northern most Denny's location before heading out (Gord wanted a picture but I told him I forgot the camera). We were hoping to see Mt. McKinley on the way down but the clouds were too low. Lots of lush green forest as we approached Anchorage. Finally made it to Uncle Dave's, it was sure great to see them.

Plane flying over our motel room in Fairbanks..............thanks Mike
